Villa Márquez is a residential project located in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, on a site distinguished by expansive views of the natural landscape and the region’s characteristic vegetation.

The architectural concept emerges from the relationship between the built environment and its surroundings, with orientation, natural light, and framed views serving as fundamental design elements. Through a composition of spatial axes and linear circulation, the residence directs the gaze toward different aspects of the landscape, creating ever-changing perspectives that transform the surrounding scenery into an integral part of the architectural experience. Solar orientation plays a defining role in the project’s configuration. The strategic arrangement of solid walls, openings, and architectural elements helps regulate solar exposure, enhancing indoor comfort while establishing a balance between natural illumination, shade, and privacy. The result is an architecture that engages with the Mexican landscape through a sequence of spaces articulated by light, shadow, and perspective. A residence in which every movement reveals a new interpretation of its surroundings, and where the relationship between interior and exterior shapes the experience of inhabiting the space.
